Magical Milky Way Galaxy Inspired Wedding Photos by Photographer Lakshal Perera from Melbourne Australia

(Click on the photo to see larger high resolution quality photo)

When I saw this beautiful wedding photo by Lakshal Perera from Melbourne Australia I was speechless by the magic he has captured in this photo. Lakshal Perera shot this magical wedding photograph showing the newlywed couple in the foreground and the Milky Way floating in the night sky. The surrounding was extremely dim, allowing for a clear view of the sky. Lakshal Perera captured it in a single exposure using a Canon 5D Mark III and 16-35 f/2.8L lens at 17mm, 71 seconds of exposure, f/5.6, and ISO boosted up to 4000 (wow). It’s pure magic!

The photographer Lakshal Perera graduated from University with a PhD in Medical Radition Physics, and as a young child, all he dreamed about was being an astronaut. As an adult, all he dreams about is being a wedding photographer. So when his client Warren & Shirley in Deniliquin ask him to do photograph their wedding photo, when Lakshal took this magical wedding photo for them, both things came together for one brief moment.

R.I.P Vidal Sassoon "If You Don't Look Good, We Don't Look Good" Hairstyle Guru Died Today at Age 84

The Hairstylist guru Vidal Sassoon passed away in his Beverly Hills home today 5-9-2012 at age 84. When my mother was still a young girl back in the 1950s, women's hair was heavily styled, curled, teased into a shape that doesn't move and almost looks like you're wearing a helmet! until Vidal Sassoon came along in the 1960s, his creative vision revolutionize how women dress their hairs & set the complete new look in the world of fashion.

What made Vidal Sassoon's cut so revolutionary was his creative cuts that require almost no styling necessery!, you can just "Wash & Wear" and everything will just fell into place perfectly every time! He has liberated women all over the world & unshackled them from curling irons & hairsprays.

My Delicious Weekend in San Francisco - L’Artisan Gourmet Parisian Macarons and Gourmet & More French Specialty Store

I’m the type of person rather starve myself, cut out the carbohydrates so I can eat those yummy sweet desserts LOL ! So naturally I’m a big fan & obsessed about those pretty & delicious macarons! I am always on the mission to find & try the local macarons in whatever cities I travel to like Paris, London, Japan, New York….. And to my pleasant surprise in my hometown San Francisco, there is a charming petite French store name “Gourmet & More” that has Chef Alex Trouan “L’artisan Gourmet Parisian Macarons” !! They are not only so beautiful to look at; each one of them is like a piece of art! But also Orgasmicaly Delicious!

So let’s set something straight first, the French Macaron is only spelled with one “O” as opposed to the equally yummy, chewy & coconut aroma Italian Macaroon. Also it is pronounced as “macaRHONE” not “macaRoon”! If you can say it with that dry heave rolling “R” thing on the last syllable like most French people do then you’ve earned your extra Macaron points haha. Click here Macaron to hear the accurate pronunciation (once the new window opens, click on the blue triangle “Play” button to hear it).

Chef Alexandre Trouan of L’Artisan Gourmet Parisian Macarons brings with him a rich culinary tradition that began in the South of France. At the age fifteen Chef Alex began his apprenticeship at Master Chef Michel Belin’s Pastry Shop in Albi, France.

By the time he was eighteen years old, he earned his Certification of professional Proficiency by the French Ministry years of National Education Academy in Toulouse, France, where he graduated with honors. Chef Alex’s professional training continued in Paris, France under Chef Pierre Hermé , Here he studied the art of pâtisserie. From St Tropez, to Paris to Avignon, France, Chef Alexandre worked with the world’s top pâtissiers in his quest for the most exquisite pastries.

In 1993, Chef Alex came to United Sates beginning his next culinary chapter in Pittsburgh, PA. His travels brought him to the beautiful state of California in San Francisco.

I love how these precious & yummy macaron was packaged! It’s in this super chic baby blue box that’s specially designed to fit 12 of chef Alexandre’s handmade macaron that will sit in there securely and not to mention the beautiful presentation it is for gift giving or just to treat yourself. It’s très chic; très jolie!
